Village Fitness Trainer
Primary Responsibilities:
The Trainer position is responsible for understanding and executing our Alloy Training Platform and our 8 Core Touch Points during each training session. The standard expectation is a 75% or greater on each quarterly performance evaluation. This position reports directly to the Head Trainer.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Possess a thorough knowledge of all programs, assessments, training techniques and performance evaluation criteria
- Demonstrate leadership, motivation and dependability
- Maintain Client Coach Cards at the completion of each training session
- Have a basic knowledge of computers and ability to use our gym management software
- Maintain cleanliness of physical site – troubleshoot problems, cleaning and organizing equipment
- Must be able to lift/assist others in lifting heavy workloads up to 100 lb. or more – physical activity is expected
- Must understand and perfectly demonstrate how to incorporate our 8 Core Touch Points in each Training Session
- Must be flexible – hours are subject to change in accordance with job, at Facility Director’s discretion
- Must be able to maintain a minimum of 75% or greater Performance Average on Quarterly Employee Performance Reviews
- Must have 80% or greater on their last Quarterly Employee Performance Review to be eligible for any salary increases or bonuses that employees may be entitled to
- Any other duties as required by the Facility Director
Position Requirements
- Outgoing personality
- BS degree in physical education, exercise physiology, management, or related field is desired, but not necessarily required
- Must be able to successfully complete onsite Alloy certification with a 70% or better (necessary training is provided)
- Must be able to complete the Personal Trainer Certification within 8 months of employee hire date
- Excellent customer service and membership relations skills and temperament
- Must be self-motivated, goal oriented, creative, dependable, enthusiastic and flexible
- Must be able to score minimum of 75% on all Quarterly Employee Performance Evaluations
- Must be CPR and AED certified. All certifications must be current
- This is a full-time position, sometimes requiring more than 40 hours per week. Some weekend work may be required
